Get Furniture Add-Ons!

Lore minecraft bedrock

Hello! Today we are going to learn how to add descriptions or "lore" to items in Minecraft Bedrock in a very simple way, without JavaScript and without commands. Let's get started!

Step 1: Download the Add-On that enables this option

To add the descriptions we want to our items or blocks, we will need the Lore Anvil Add-On. It’s free, so there shouldn’t be much trouble. Once installed, we will need to activate the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack in our world (No experimental features are needed).

Step 2: Get the Lore Anvil

To get the Lore Anvil, it's simple and has similarities with the enchanting table. We will only need 2 diamonds, an anvil, and a feather.
All these ingredients will be placed in a crafting table in the arrangement shown in the image, and then we’ll click on it to collect it.

Add-On Settings

Step 3: Add the lore to the item

Once the item is crafted, we need to click on it, and an interface will appear giving us two options: "add new lore" and "remove lore." We will choose the first one and write what we want it to contain. We can add any kind of text and colors. For example, we will enter "Spanish Empire from the 18th century AD."

Add lore in the item
Item Whith lore

Note: If you want to remove any lore, you can use the "clear lore" function available in the anvil. This will remove all added lore.

Step 4: Enjoy!

You can add all sorts of text to both items and blocks, and these will remain over time (keep in mind there's a limit of 50 characters). What are the possibilities? Here are some great examples!

Loading Bars in Minigame: We can add loading bars with different characters and colors. If we want to add various colors to parts of the text, we can do so by leaving the color section as "none" and using the symbol §.

Descriptions on Survival Mode: Descriptions can evolve to indicate who owns an item or what it’s used for!

Add purposes to the items: Imagine you're creating an adventure map. Map makers have always wanted to provide instructions to players, and now there's no need to add signs or commands anymore!

Believe me when I say that this can be used for anything you can imagine. Whether it’s adding historical context, personal details, or instructions to improve the gameplay experience, the possibilities are endless. With this flexibility, there are no limits to the creativity you can bring to your Minecraft world.

With nothing more to add, I'll say goodbye. I hope you can add all kinds of lores to your items or blocks and bring them to life in the way you like best. Goodbye and enjoy creating!

Add lore or description to your items and blocks with Lore Anvil, an Add-On for Minecraft Bedrock!

Add lore to your items!

Lore Anvil is an Add-On for Minecraft Bedrock that allows the user, thanks to a new feature, to customize the description or lore of the item or block, being able to customize it with emojis, colors and much more! You can also delete descriptions, removing unwanted text and writing it however you want!

Imagen

Let's put an example for a use of Lore Anvil, in your survival you have dozens of swords and the customizable names are not enough to write, here is where you can use Lore Anvil to add descriptions and say the advantages or uses of your swords or tools. This in turn can be done with building blocks, if you want to classify it in levels such as "junk" or "uncommon" you can, the only disadvantage will be that once the block is placed, the description will be lost.

Introducing locks! The 1.4 update for Modern Doors brings locks and keys to every door from this addon! Lock a door to prevent other players from opening or destroying it. Create keys to open the door, or set yourself as the only person able to open it. Server-friendly and griefer-proof!

Locking a door

First, interact with a door while sneaking and with an empty hand. If you get a message saying a door has no owner, destroy the door and place it again. If you get a message saying that you are not the owner, that’s because you can only set up a lock on doors you have placed.

From this door menu, you can access settings or lock the door. If it is the first time you are locking a door, a tutorial prompt will show up asking if you want a tour of the settings. We will click on yes!

Settings for the Door Lock

The first toggle, “Owner Not Affected by Lock”, controls whether the owner of the door needs to use a method to unlock it (such as having the key) or if they can always open the door. This way, the door will be able to be opened by the owner always without restriction. Turning this off means the owner needs to use an allowed method to unlock the door.

The second toggle, “Set Lock to Create Keys”, will set a lock for the door and let you create keys for that door, unique items that only open the door they spawned from. We will let the toggles on their default state (ON) and move on.

After submitting the form, we will see another form, this time asking for the data of the lock and keys. This first toggle, “Use Auto-Generated Key Code”, decides whether the code used for the lock is auto-generated or manually entered. Leave that toggle on, we’ll talk about codes later.

The next fields, “Enter Key Name” and “Enter Key Description”, will let you put a title and a description on the keys to be created. For example, you can put as a title “Agatejam’s Front Door Key” and as a description “For my friend Trota”.

Next, we have the key type dropdown. Currently, you can make Gold, Iron, Copper, and Oxidized Copper keys, regardless of the door you use the key on.

Finally, the number of keys to generate. You can generate up to 20 keys at a time, which will spawn in the same door that is being locked on. Click on submit, and we are done!

Managing Locked Doors

If you had another door of your own next to the door you locked, the same traits will be applied to them. By this time, you should have a locked door and a stack of keys that open them.

But wait, there’s more! By interacting with a door while sneaking and with an empty hand, you can unlock and lock the door and access the lock settings. In the lock settings, you can manage unlocking mechanisms, create new keys, and even change the current lock! Maybe some stole a key from a friend, and now they have access. Well, just change the lock, and all previous keys will be unusable!

Custom Codes

Let’s talk about custom codes. When you set up a lock, a code is attached to the locked door, which is the code the generated keys will have in their lore. If you want multiple doors to be opened by the same key, you can! Just turn off the “Use Auto-Generated Key Code” in the “Key and Lock Settings” form and input the same code other doors you own have. You can also use the “Change Lock” form in the lock settings menu to achieve the same purpose. You can’t just use a code if you don’t have a door with that code, so you do not need to worry about other people creating keys for your doors.

Door Security

Finally, every door that is locked cannot be mined, period, so there’s no chance of a person destroying your door if you lock them.

The 1.4 update marks a milestone in Modern Doors, and because it’s so big, we ask you to report any bugs you might find in the Discord server. Thanks for downloading! Download Modern Doors

A few hours ago, an article was published confirming major changes to Minecraft Live, Mob Votes, and the development of Minecraft. In this article, we'll explore all these changes and more!

What are the changes in Minecraft Live?

First things first, Mojang's event will now be held twice a year, although it might (but we don't think so) be shorter. We don’t know the exact dates yet, but we believe the one traditionally held in mid-October will still be respected, as they updated the description on their Twitch channel about a month ago, adding explanations of what Minecraft Live is. We can only hope the second date will be sometime at the beginning of May, or something similar.

Has the Mob Vote 2024 been canceled?

Yes, the Mob Vote 2024 has been eliminated because it was dividing the community. We saw in 2023 how the community split into two groups: one that supported the Mob Vote and another that demanded Mojang include all three mobs in the game. This uproar was significant and seems to have impacted Mojang to the point where they didn’t even attempt to modify the process; they simply decided to remove it entirely.

How will the new Minecraft development format work?

The new development system that Mojang is planning involves releasing more updates per year, promising more content and diverse themes. They have also committed to introducing new mechanics, among other features. This change is expected to improve the development process, and most importantly, allow the community to have more input on the designs and mechanics introduced into the game.
With this change, Mojang promises greater transparency in everything (and this very information supports that).

Main issue with Mods and Add-Ons

A problem I’ve seen mentioned by a few people is the complexity of updating mods and Add-Ons to newer versions. If there are going to be more updates (let’s say 2 per year), it would mean modders will have double the work to optimize and update their creations. This might sound bad, but I don’t think it will be a long-term issue. We’ll simply get used to working more and optimizing the code better to make it stable.

Community Opinion

I firmly believe we can say that these changes are among the best things to happen to Minecraft in 2024. The Mob Vote was something we all hated, and the lack of transparency was something that frustrated the entire community. The only change that people might not like is the splitting of Minecraft Live. I personally hope there will be two separate Minecraft Live events and not just one split in half. The last one barely lasted 40 minutes and was quite disappointing. With nothing more to add, I bid farewell with these great news. Until next time!

Hello everyone, I'm Trotamundos872, and today we're going to take a look at the new Minecraft Movie teaser. We'll be discussing release dates, plot details, and actors, so let's get started!

What will its plot be?

According to what we've seen, the plot will revolve around a group of people who, one way or another, end up in the Minecraft world. There, they will meet Steve (played by Jack Black) and must help him defeat the Nether to save the world from its invasion.

Who will be the antagonist?

These might be considered "spoilers," but according to leaks, the antagonist will be the Piglin Queen. How do we know these spoilers? This is because some people have already seen the movie, as there was a test screening a couple of weeks ago to gauge audience reactions.

Minecraft Movie Image

What languages will the movie be released in?

The main languages the movie will be released in are: English, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Italian, French, German, etc. This is expected because the production company is Warner Bros, and we are used to this major studio releasing their films in as many languages as possible.

What is its release date?

Its release date will be April 4, 2025. How long it stays in theaters will depend on its popularity and reception.

Faithfulness to Minecraft

The similarities are clear: a world made of blocks, filled with enemies and animals from the game, including the Nether dimension. However, we need to address the elephant in the room—the live-action aesthetic and semi-realistic 3D design. It's not everyone's favorite. In my opinion, I would have preferred a 3D style similar to Minecraft's trailers—simple and clean. That said, it's still visually appealing and somewhat attractive in its own way.

Cast

According to what is known, the main cast of actors for the Minecraft Movie will be:

  Jason Momoa
  Emma Myers
  Jack Black (as Steve)
  Jennifer Coolidge
  Danielle Brooks (as Dawn)
  Steve Carell
  Matt Berry
  Sebastian Eugene Hansen (as Henry)

Minimum Age

It is most likely that the movie will have a PG rating. This is because Minecraft is a game that any child can play, and from what we know, this movie is aimed at both children and adults who have grown up with the blocky world of Minecraft.

Public Reception Prediction

The reception, as far as we can tell, may be mixed due to differing opinions from those who attended the screening two weeks ago. However, we can't be sure yet, as these opinions are quite limited and haven't revealed much about the plot. But don't let that stop you! In my opinion, the movie could be similar to Super Mario Bros: The Movie—it may not bring anything new, but it will be enjoyable to watch.
